Gift Giving, Rituals and Friends

I cannot believe this Christmas has come so fast but I am really enjoying it.

I spent this past weekend with 6 of my best-est friends in Burlington, Vermont for our annual Christmas, girls weekend away. It’s always filled with lots of shopping, lots of talking and okay a few cocktails thrown in there as well.

Here is a picture of us on beautiful Church street. If you look closely you can see we are all wearing Christmas headbands of reindeer ears or Santa hats - it’s part of the ritual that we wear them everywhere we go!

These rituals to me are what Christmas is really all about. Because I have a very small family it is so important that my friends play a large role in my Christmas season.

There is still more to come with friends this holiday season including a night of dinner, a kris kringle gift exchange and lots of music, all hosted at my place during the Christmas week. I’ll be sure to tell you more about this after the holidays.
